A room in a student residence costs €450–700 a month, a room in a shared flat €500–750. Start looking 2–3 months before the semester begins.
Food and transport
Groceries come to €250–350. The semester ticket for all of Vienna's public transport costs students about €75 a semester.
Fees and insurance
Tuition for students from outside the EU is about €727 per semester. Student health insurance is about €70 a month. A realistic total budget is €1,000–1,300 a month.
